Make sure you have enough medication
Before going on your trip, make sure that you have enough medications to last during the entire trip. Also, be sure that you have all the immunizations up to date before visiting any country. Also, remember that your health insurance may not pay for treatment in another country. Find out what your insurance covers before you leave.

Always carry copies of your travel documents
Before heading out of your home, store your passport in a safe place. Make a copy of all other travel related documents and carry these things in two or more locations. In case something gets lost or stolen, you will always have a copy of your papers which will make it easier to replace what was stolen.
